A Call to Action
In whispers of a warming breeze,
The planet pleads with urgent ease.
From melting ice to swelling seas,
The Earth’s lament on every breeze.
Forests once lush now stand bereft,
Their verdant hues in silence left.
Deserts stretch where life once thrived,
A stark reminder we’ve deprived.
Rivers, once in joyful dance,
Now overflow, their paths askance.
Oceans rise with vengeful might,
Coral’s glow lost to the blight.
Skies, once clear, now choke with haze,
A veil where birds once soared and grazed.
Storms unfurl with fierce, wild rage,
Nature’s fury on a stage.
Fields that nourished, now cracked and dry,
Harvests fail beneath the sky.
Heatwaves scorch, droughts claim their share,
The climate’s wrath laid bare and bare.
Polar bears on shrinking ice,
Cry out as they pay the price.
The signals are profound and stark,
Our heedlessness has left its mark.
Yet hope flickers with each breath,
In our actions lies the strength to mend.
For we are guardians of this sphere,
To heal its wounds, to hold it dear.
